Kai the Umbreon-part 4

At breakfast, Kai got to meet Amber the Flygon and Sakari the Latias.
“So,” Kai said, trying to be polite. “You’re a real legendary?”
“I’m not THE latias,” Sakari replied, chewing a mouthfull of pokemon food. “Not the one in the Altomare legend.”
“But I thought there was only one Lati--”
“Strangeley enough, no.” The red and white dragon exclaimed. “You see, the Altomare Latias is my second cousin thrice removed.”
Kai was blank.
“Never mind, I’m probably just confusing you.”

“Hey,” The Flygon nearby tapped the Eevee on the shoulder. “You’re pokechow is getting cold. And you haven’t even had a bite.”
“Yeah,” Kyra sat next to the dragon, gulping down breakfast. “It doesn’t hurt to try something new.”
“Uh…okay.” Kai took a small bite, before quickly running behind a tree to spit it out. When he came back, the pokemon smiled weakly. “I just….had to go to the…bathroom, yes. Nature’s call, eheheh…”
Ayla, who sat nearby, just sighed.

Later, Ayla made her way along a creekside, the pokemon in their pokeballs. Until the girl suddenly stopped in her tracks. “It’s another trainer.” She explained. “Mence, keep ready to use dragon claw. He may want a battle.”
Sure enough, a boy of around 16 walked over. He had brown scruffy hair, and wore a black shirt with a yellow ‘E’ on the front.

Random person: Utack and Swampy?
Me: No, it’s Derek and Blaze the Charizard. ARE YOU DEATH?
Random person: No, but I am visually impared. You’re Kai aren’t you?
Me:

“Eh? So you want a battle?”  Utack grinned, before sending out a swampert. “Old Swampy will make of good use. Swampy, use Hydro Pump on that Salamence!”

“What’s happening?” Kai asked Kyra, whom were released along with the others. “Why is that Swampert attacking?”
“Trainer battle.” The totodile replied, watching Mence and Swampy fight. “Prepare yourself, you may be up next.”
