Thunderpaw: The Mark

PROLOUGE
In the year 2080,when the nuclear age had just about destroyed the habitat of the planet, a large deposit of magnetised crystal rose up from the middle of the pacific ocean, corrupted by the radiation of an atomic Earth. This crystal was weakened over the years, until it was no more special than a dry rock.
60 thousand years later, this crystal became an island where strangley civilised animals live undisturbed by human interaction. The island inhabitants have rules enough as to never kill one another unless for a means of survival, or if threatened. The many different animal regions often spend their time exploring of caves and mines, trading rare stones and the last of the crystals across the region. It’s a world of simple trading and balanced community lifestyle, and has been for many hundres of years.
But in this location, almost directly on the equator, there are many huge storms that occur every four years, sometimes earthquakes. These disasters, when not prepared for, can wreck havoc on local villages. Rareley did anyone get stuck in one of those storms anymore. But once…

Remember how I kep going on and on about a flash animation in progress? Well here's the first few teasers/spoilers I've started to write, because I'm pretty much starting from the beginning again. I've been inspired by the manga Magister Negi Magi, so expect TP to be in comic form. And if I feel like it, maybe some animated scenes. So keep your eyes open for anything interesting.

I'm mainly just practising a more cartoon-y style to draw in, rather than animating some highly realistic thing.
